Wheels: For bigger-sized trailers, look for wheels that come with tandem-axle wheels for increased speeds and reductions in drawn power from an ATV. Because it has two wheels to push the trailer on both sides, load weight is distributed better causing them to move faster than trailers with single-axle wheels.

Capacity: Choose ATV trailers that would fit your intended purpose. For transporting heavier items such as motorcycles and farm equipment, look for a trailer that has a loading capacity of more than 1000 pounds. Take into consideration as well the total weight of the items you want to load, that includes all accessories, equipment, and fuel.
